Compositing & Grading for VR

In this Los Angeles Post Production Group (LAPPG) session, Light Sail VR co-founder and creative director Matthew Celia joined supervising colorist Jeff Sousa of Dungeon Beach to break down the CG compositing and color grading workflow behind Meta's interactive VR project 'Quest for Fitness.' The talk covered building 3D backgrounds in Blender, combining them with live-action capture, remote grading with both colorist and client in headsets, and finishing in an ACES pipeline using Mistika Boutique.
