BLACKMAGIC URSA CINE IMMERSIVE

The URSA Cine Immersive puts Light Sail VR at the forefront of immersive capture. This cinema camera captures 90fps of stereoscopic 3D at a resolution of 8160x7200 per eye with 16 stops of dynamic range into a single Blackmagic RAW file. It delivers high-end immersive capture in a professional package without the complexity of multi-camera rigs.

Light Sail VR is proud to be the West Coast rental house for the Meta Three camera. We’ve built a professional kit around this amazing immersive camera to help you capture high quality 360 monoscopic footage. Capture in breathtaking 12.5k resolution with four 6k sensors. We love this camera for high-definition recording in ProRes 422, unmatched low light performance, and ease of stitching. Rentals can be configured with the needed support gear for your production.

Enhance your 180 VR production with our cutting-edge solution, enabling real-time preview with up to 20x wireless VR headsets. Bring professional filmmaking workflows like live stereoscopic preview, dailies color correction, compositing, and playback to your set. Powered by the robust Assimilate Scratch and VR.NDI technology, our service ensures your stakeholders are confident in every shot, offering them the opportunity to see and review it on set, just as it's captured. Starting at $500/day for ‘scout’ kit of 2x headsets all the way up to our ‘Immersive Control Room’ package, which includes a professional team and up to 20x Meta Quest headsets, ensuring a smooth and efficient production experience.

360, 180, 2D, SPATIAL AUDIO, AND BEYOND

We have additional camera systems, including the Canon R5C with the Canon Dual Fisheye EOS VR System, and the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12k packages available for rent, as well as tripods, camera grip, and rigging supplies. We can also add to your existing packages with supplemental gear that can be custom crafted upon request.

Light Sail VR offers a 3-day week on most gear. If you rent the equipment for 3x days within a 7x day period, you’ll only be charged for 3x rental days for a week’s rental.

Yes, you will require insurance with the following items:

  • Property insurance limit of no less than $75,000.00 USD [subject to change depending on the total cost of gear rented]
  • Liability insurance with a limit of no less than $1,000,000.00 USD for General Liability, Workers Compensation Liability, and Auto Liability.

You will need to provide a COI with Light Sail VR, LLC listed as additionally insured.

Yes. 100% payment of the full rental amount is required at the time of rental.
Yes, however there is a 3.75% processing fee for credit card transactions. ACH payment is preferred.
Please let us know your preferred dates of your rental period as soon as you have them. Equipment is only reserved after the deposit and COI is received. Reservations are honored on a first come, first served basis.
Equipment is rented on a daily basis.
The rental period begins after check out, and the return time is 24x hours after check out. If the check in time is after normal business hours (9am-6pm M-F), the check in time becomes one hour after the start of business on the following day (i.e. if your check in time would be no later than 7pm on Tuesday, you check in time becomes no later than 11am Wednesday, the next business day).
Visual inspection by the customer is a requirement for check out. You must either send your representative in person to the pickup location, or make a member of your team available via Zoom/FaceTime to visually confirm the check out, and then you must agree in writing (email to suffice) that the equipment is fully accounted for, and in good and working condition prior to your check out. The customer is responsible for any shipping costs. Light Sail VR cannot guarantee shipments sent through external vendors [FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL, etc] will arrive on their scheduled dates of arrival. It is up the the customer to make sure they have the gear hand in time for their scheduled production.
Yes. We require a fully trained operator to rent equipment from Light Sail VR. We can provide you references for trained operators and their rates, or Light Sail VR can book operators and put them through our payroll for an additional fee. If you would like to provide your own operator, their training on the equipment will need to be verified by Light Sail VR prior to your rental period. Training of operators can be provided for an additional fee.
